7 injured in mini-bus truck collision, one airlifted to GMC

JAMMU, Aug 16: Seven persons were injured, one of them critically, when the mini-bus they were travelling in collided with a truck in Domail area of tehsil Bhaderwah.
Police spokesman said that, a mini-bus bearing registration number JKO6 1389 heading towards Bhaderwah from Bhalla, collided head on with a truck (JKO2AQ 2930) at Domail area of Bhaderwah, leading to grievous injuries to seven persons.
After getting information, police party along with locals rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to nearby hospital.
Later, Shakuntla Devi, wife of Jagdish Raj of Pariyto, Doda, was airlifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), spokesman said, adding that the other six injured namely Dev Raj, son of Beli Ram of Gudaka, Swarna Devi, wife of Mulkh Raj, Sunil Kumar, son of Mulkh Raj of Tipri, Abid Hussain, son of Farid Hussain of Chakra Bharthi, Haider Ali, son of Babu Ali of Ladu Singh, Uttar Pradesh and Nek Chand, son of Gouri Lal of Gutasa, Tehsil Bhaderwah, were responding to the treatment, when last reports came in.
A case has been registered at Police Station Bhaderwah, while a man hunt was against the absconding truck driver.
