POONCH, June 5: Seven persons were injured when a load carrier rolled down into a gorge at Barachar in Mandi area of Poonch district today.
Official sources said that a load carrier bearing registration number JK12C- 8490 which was coming from Loran side towards Mandi, met with an accident, resulting injuries to seven persons.
The injured were initially taken to Sub District Hospital, Mandi and later shifted to District Hospital, Poonch.
Injured were identified as Mohd Umar (21), son of Mohd Sadeeq, resident of Chakrara; Irfan Ahmed (18), son of Abdul Qayoom, resident of Plera; Zeeshan Ahmed (13), son of Khalil Ahmed; Mohd Touseef (18), son of Mohd Yousaf; Mohd Mudassar (16), son of Mohd Ayoob; Mohd Alyas (22), son of Mohd Akram; Zaheer Abass (17), son of Mohd Ashraf- all residents of Barachar.
Doctor Wajahat said that two among 7 are critical and rest with fractures are stable. Medical Superintendent Poonch, Dr Zulfiqar Ahmed said that two injured have been further referred to GMC Rajouri for treatment.
Meanwhile Police Station, Loran has registered a case in this connection.
