7 injured in road mishaps

SRINAGAR, Sept 26: Seven persons were today injured in different road accidents across the valley.
A police spokesman said three person including a pedestrian and a motorcycle rider were injured when a motorcycle bearing registration number JK13/9852 driven by Umar Ismail Sofi of Adoora, Pulwama, hit a pedestrian Mohammad Afzal Tantray son of Mohammad Qasim of Panzalpora Bijbehara near Sub District Hospital, Bijbehara. The injured have been shifted to a hospital for treatment.
A motorcycle bearing registration number POB06M/0945 driven by Arafat Hussain Sheikh of Chamkoot hit and injured a pedestrian Ishfaq Ahmad Sheikh resident of Kandi at Kandi, Kupwara. The motorcyclist and a pillion Shafeeq Ahmad Hajam of Kandi were also injured in the accident. All the injured were shifted to Sub District Hospital, Karnah for treatment, the spokeman said.
Two pedestrian, Mohan Singh and Suraj Mani, were injured when an Auto hit them near Abdullah Bridge, Srinagar. Both the injured have been taken to a hospital for treatment where from Mohan Singh was shifted to SKIMS in critical conditions. The driver fled away alongwith the auto from the spot, he said.
