JAMMU, Dec 17: Seven persons were injured in separate road accidents across Jammu region.
According to a police spokesperson, a car and a truck collided at Samba resulting in injuries to car driver, who was identified as Sunil son of Nar Singh, a resident of Mudgoli. The injured Sunil was immediately shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu for treatment.
Meanwhile, a sleeper bus hit a slope wall on National Highway at Rajbagh in Kathua district, resulting in injuries to Laxmi Chander Singh (28), son of Diwan Singh, a resident of Pathankot. He was shifted to GMCH for treatment.
In another incident, Sukhdev Sharma (23) son of Govind Raj, a resident of Channi got injuries when two cars collided at Bakshi Nagar. He was also shifted to GMCH for treatment.
At Pandora area of Samba district, a man identified as Amit Singh son of Joginder Singh, a resident of Samba received serious injuries when his motorbike collided with a matador. He was also shifted to GMCH.
A Hatli Morh in Kathua district, an unknown vehicle hit a motorbike and left injured its rider namely Sardar Ali (21), son of Nazir Ahmed, a resident of Basantpur, who was shifted to GMCH for treatment.
A 21-year old youth namely Charanjeet Singh (21) son of Surat Singh, resident of Raika Labha also received injuries and landed in GMCH Jammu after his bike collided with another bike at Ramgarh.
A 20-year old girl namely Nazmeena daughter of Majid Alam, resident of Channi Rama also received minor injuries when she was hit by a tempo while crossing road near University of Jammu. She was also shifted to GMCH for treatment.
In all the cases the concerned police have taken cognizance of the matter.
