7 injured in road mishaps

POONCH/ RAJOURI, Feb 10: Seven persons including a college girl student were injured in three separate road accidents in Poonch and Rajouri districts today.
A police spokesman giving details said that students of Higher Secondary Part-II, Adreesh Ahmed and Rajat Sharma were seriously injured after their bike bearing JK02AN/ 2728 slipped on the road near Khanetar in Poonch today. Both the youth were rushed to District Hospital, Poonch by the people where doctors provided first aid and then referred them to GMC Hospital, Jammu. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
Another report said that two boys Vikram Sharma and Sajan Bali, residents of Mendhar, riding on without number Scooty were going towards Degree College Mendhar. Their speeding scooty hit a girl student of BA-Part-III, Shaheen Akhtar and caused her serious injuries. The scooty also over turned and both the boys were thrown away. All the three injured were removed to SDH Mendhar by students. Two of them including girl were referred to District Hospital, Rajouri. The police has registered a case in this connection.
Another report from Rajouri said that two persons were injured when a Maruti car No. JK-11A/0550 met with an accident near Choudhary Nad last evening. The injured identified as Haji Kala, son of Fazal Hussain, resident of Tattal village and Lila Devi, wife of Dharam Singh, resident of Danora were hospitalized. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
