SAMBA, Oct 27: Seven Jhuggies were destroyed in devastating fire at Bari Brahmana today.
The Jhuggies were constructed in a plot of land belonging to Ranjit Singh, S/o Kulbeer Singh at Ward No 6 Bari Brahmana.
According to police the fire was caused due to short circuit. Two gas cylinders which were also in the Jhuggies exploded to fire however there was no loss of life.
The fire tenders were pressed into service which brought the fire under control. The Bari Brahmana Police has registered a case under relevant sections of the law.
Ranjeet had given the Jhuggies on rent basis.
