MENDHAR, Nov 6: Seven Panches from Gohlad Panchayat Halqa in Mendhar tehsil of district Poonch have tendered their resignation to SDM Mendhar.
These Panches have alleged that Sarpanch of the Halqa and other officials from the RDD do not take them into confidence in the implementation of village level works and connived with each other for vested interests. Under such circumstances they will not be able to deliver services to the people they represent. They also demanded inquiry into the works initiated in this Panchayat Halqa in last two years.
The Panches who resigned from their positions are- Parveen Sarwar Khan, Rajiv Sharma, Vinod Kumar Sawhney, Nimbo Devi, Raqib Khan, Rupali Sharma and Haji Mohd Suleman.
