7 PoK guests arrive, 17 Kashmiri cross to other side of LoC

SRINAGAR :  Seven fresh guests from Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK) arrived here this afternoon while 17 Kashmiris crossed over to other side of the Line of Control (LoC) at Kaman post, the last Indian military post in Uri sector.
Eight PoK residents also returned to their homes after completing their stay in Kashmir with their relatives, separated in 1947, official sources said here.
They said seven PoK residents, including four women arrived at Kaman post after crossing the Aman Setu, peace bridge, on foot this afternoon.
They said 17 Kashmiris, including nine women and a child, crossed to PoK to meet their relatives.
So far 42 PoK residents and 126 Kashmiris have crossed sides on LoC in the Karvan-e-Aman bus operating between Srinagar and Muzaffarabad, capital of PoK since April 7,  2005.
The service has helped thousands of families divided in 1947 due to partition to meet each other. (AGENCIES)
