JAMMU, Aug 3: Police today seized 700 liters kerosene oil, which was being sold in black market by the kerosene oil depot owner to a truck driver at Gujjar Colony, Channi Himmat.
Depot owner Mohammad Shaffi of Gujjar Colony and Tarsem Lal of Raipur Gujaran, RS Pura fled away from the spot during police raid while Pawan Kumar of Raipur Gujaran was arrested.
The kerosene oil, which was being sold in black-market has been seized.
A case under Section 3/7 Essential Commodities Act and 409 and 109 RPC has been registered against the accused.
Police party headed by SHO Channi Himmat Deepak Pathania made the arrest under the supervision of SP City (South) Rajeshwar Singh and SDPO SS Samyal.
