Over 700 turn up for 2nd phase of Army recruitment

Srinagar, Mar 8: Over 700 candidates today turned up for the second phase of Army recruitment conducted at Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry (JAKLI) Regimental Centre here for two vacancies of tradesmen which was open for aspirants from all over the Kashmir valley.
A defence spokesman said the candidates appeared in the rally from almost all districts of the State with maximum representation from Baramulla, Bandipora and Anantnag. “The recruitment was conducted successfully and all candidates were given opportunity to participate in the physical tests,” he said.
The spokesman said security aspects were coordinated with police for the smooth conduct of the rally. The physical tests for both General Duty and Tradesman vacancies come to end with today’s participation and the candidates who have passed the physical tests have now been called on March 9 to appear in the Intelligence Test as per the recruitment schedule, he said.
The first phase of recruitment rally was conducted yesterday for 30 vacancies for soldiers (General Duty) where over 1500 young boys had turned up to try their luck.
