713th birth anniversary of Sant Shiromani Sain Ji celebrated with fervour, enthusiasm

JAMMU, Apr 24: The 713th birth anniversary of Sant Shironami Sain Ji Maharaj was celebrated with fervour and enthusiasm by the Sain Samaj at Ram Lila Hall Dewan Mandir Kachi Chawni here today.
The function started with paying of homage to Sant Sain Ji Maharaj by the gathering and the dignitaries who attended the function paid rich tributes to the great saint.
On the occasion the prizes and mementos were distributed among the outstanding students of the Biradri and sewing Machines were given to the destitute and needy women of the community. Almost all the speakers tried their best to remember and recall the great virtues and events of Sant Shiromani Sain Ji Maharaj who spread the message of equality, fraternity, justice and humanity which was the sole aim of great saint for the mankind.
It was vouched by many prominent speakers also that the great saint had not only struggle for the upliftment of poor and down trodden communities but for mankind as a whole. The contemporary kings of his era were also inspired to treat all people equally irrespective of their caste creed and colour and to provide equal opportunities to all in every sphere of life. It was only because of such great virtues and deeds of this great saint that his Vani found place in Guru Granth Sahib which is ultimate Guru of all the people living in North India as well as many other countries of world.
The function was organized under the present team of All J&K Sain Samaj Sabha headed by its president Kasturi Lal Basotra. They also informed the gathering about the prevailing circumstances working against the community and resolved that entire community will come unitedly fight against the forces inimical to its cause.
