SRINAGAR, Feb 18: In order to enforce punctuality in Government offices of Valley districts, Deputy Commissioners have speeded up inspection and checking of attendance of employees working in various district and tehsil offices.
Deputy Commissioner, Baramulla and Deputy Commissioner, Shopian, and Additional District Development Commissioner, Bandipora, accordingly took stock of the offices under their control and found several employees absent from duty today.
Deputy Commissioner, Baramulla, Ghulam Ahmad Khawaja inspected Rural Development, Panchayat, Agriculture, Animal and Sheep Husbandry, Education and Health Departments.
Deputy Commissioner also inspected tehsil Pattan and Tangmarg and checked the attendance of officials.
Deputy Commissioner, Shopian, Mohammad Javaid Khan inspected District Industries Centre Shopian, Irrigation Division, Block Medical Office, Superintending Engineer Hydraulic, PHE, Chief Medical Office, Sheep Husbandry office, Sub District Hospital, Agriculture Extension, Zonal Horticulture Office etc.
The Deputy Commissioner, Shopian ordered suspension of 66 absentee employees.
Additional District Development Commissioner, Bandipora, G.M. Brakboo visited Agriculture, Horticulture, Employment, ICDS, CA&PD, Handicrafts, Animal and Sheep Husbandry Departments.
During the inspection, four employees in ICDS and two in Employment Departments were found unauthorizedly absent from duty.
Action under rules was initiated against the absentees.
