JAMMU, May 22: The police seized 72 vehicles for violations under MV Act during special drive launched in Akhnoor Sub Division today.
The police said that the police teams under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor, DySP Ajay Sharma, laid special nakas today at various locations and launched operation. The initiative was targetted at different forms of traffic violations, such as, use of modified silencers in bikes, vehicles without documentation, driving without helmets etc.
The team seized a total of 72 vehicles, including 11 Enfield motorcycles and 101 vehicles were challaned, leading to a total of 173 violations being acted against in the drive which lasted for 2 hours.
