RAMBAN, May 28: Ashok Koul, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu and Kashmir, State general secretary (Organization) said that BJP is fully committed to serve the people across the nation especially in this hour of crisis due to COVID-19 pandemic. He said that 7th anniversary of BJP Government at the Centre is falling on May 30 and the occasion should reflect the party’s resolve towards the society.
While addressing a meeting of party workers here, today, the Koul asked party workers, elected BDCs, DDCs, Municipal Chairman, members of municipalities to visit the villages, Panchayats and extend all possible help to the needy in this hour of crisis.
Pawan Khajuria, Prabhari Ramban district and former MLA Ramban, Neelam Langeh were also present in the meeting.
Koul laid stress upon the whole BJP cadre of Ramban unit for carrying out multiple programmes to mark the successful completion of seven years of Modi Government on May 30 in line with the decision taken by the Party High Command at the national level. He also enquired from the party cadre about the assistance BJP workers are providing to the public in the prevailing crisis situation.
He said that keeping in view the gravity of situation, there is a need for even the senior party leaders to get involved on the ground level to interact with the needy persons as well as the ground level party workers. He directed them to promptly respond to the SOS calls from the needy persons regarding medicine, food or any other assistance besides engaging proactively in the awareness campaigns for the common masses so as to check the further spread of deadly infection.
Former MLA Neelam Langeh, in his address, provided information about the various relief operations which are in progress across Ramban under ‘Sewa hi Sangathan Abhiyaan’.
Later, Ashok Koul appointed new office bearers of BJP Ramban which include Balbeer Singh and Member DDC Ukhral-B was nominated as BJP district general secretary, Raj Kumar member Municipal Council Ramban nominated as district vice president, Manoj Arora nominated as district secretary, Ankit Trahal as district media Incharge and Rakesh Sharma as district spokesperson.
