JAMMU, June 16: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute 17th installment of PM’s Kisan Nidhi Scheme from his Parliamentary constituency of Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh while Union Ministers and dignitaries will be present at 50 places across the country during the programme including two places in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir on June 18.
Modi will release Rs 20,000 crore for 9,25,99,513 farmers and grant certificates to 30,000 Self Help Groups (SHGs) of Krishi Sakhis virtually from Varanasi. However, he will give certificates to five groups personally at Varanasi.

The Union Ministers and dignitaries will join the function at 50 places across the country and give certificates to Self Help Groups of Krishi Sakhis and address the function.
Union Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) Dr Jitendra Singh will join the function at SKUAS Jammu while Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai will attend the function in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
In Jammu and Kashmir, the number of farmer beneficiaries of PM’s Kisan Nidhi Scheme is 8,46,266.
A total amount of Rs 182.55 crore will be distributed among them. The amount will go directly into the accounts of farmers.
The Prime Minister will address a Grand Kissan Sammelan from Varanasi while the farmers, Self Help Groups of Krishi Sakhis will join from 50 places where the Union Ministers and dignitaries will be present.
Many Ministers are also expected to be present at Varanasi where the Prime Minister will be present.
He will release 17th installment of PM’s Kisan Nidhi from Varanasi at around 4 PM benefitting 9,25,99,513 farmers across the country and give certificates to 30,000 Self Help Groups of Krishi Sakhis—five personally and rest virtually.
He will address the grand Sammelan of farmers.
The Union Ministers including Dr Jitendra Singh and Nityanand Rai will interact with the farmers and Self Help Groups of Krishi Sakhis at SKUAST Jammu and Pulwama in South Kashmir respectively.
Similarly, the Ministers and other dignitaries will attend the functions at a total of 50 places across the country.
