RAJOURI, May 10: Continuing its drive, Police today rescued eight bovine animals at Qila Darhal and arrested the smuggler.
Reports said that Police party of PP Lam, during naka checking at Qila Darhal, intercepted one Tata Mobile bearing registration number JK11B- 4585, which was loaded with eight bovines.
Driver of the vehicle, identified as Mohd Safeer, son of Sabar Hussain of Manja Kote, who taking these animals towards Kashmir via Mughal road without valid permission of DM Rajouri, was arrested on the spot while all the bovines were rescued.
In this regard, a cognizable report was entered in daily diary of PP Lam and extract of DD was sent to PS Nowshera for registration of FIR.
Meanwhile, two bovine smugglers namely Mohd Latief, son of Mohd Hussain of Godhar, Rajouri and Mohd Hanief son of Abdul Karim of Saranoo, Rajouri were arrested in case FIR number 34/22 U/S 188 IPC, 11 PC Act.
