Srinagar, Mar 6: At least eight residential houses were completely gutted in a massive fire incident at Chimmer Noorabad area of Kulgam last night.
Fire broke out from the second storey residential house of Shahid Ahmad Naik son of Manzoor Ahmad Naik and spread to other nearby houses due to which at least eight residential houses were damaged.

As the fire engulfed the house it spread to the nearby houses and damaged them completely. The houses that were gutted belonged to Shahid Ahmad Naik, Javaid Ahmad Naik, Mubarak Ahmad Naik, Hilal Ahmad Naik, Bashir Ahmad Naik, Ghulam Hassan, Mohammad Yousuf Naik and Masroor Ahmed.
Soon after the fire broke fire tenders with the help of locals tried to douse the flames and stopped fire from spreading to other houses in this congested locality.
