SRINAGAR, Oct 10:
The Government today ordered transfers and postings of 18 bureaucrats including eight IAS officers.
The orders were issued after an approval from the State Cabinet, which met under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, an official spokesman said.
Shahid Anayatullah (IAS) was transferred and posted as Secretary to the Government, Transport Department, in place of Mehraj Ahmad Kakroo (IAS), who was posted as Managing Director Power Development Corporation against an available vacancy.
Sanjeev Verma (IAS) was transferred and posted as Secretary to the Government, Floriculture Department.
A K Gupta (IAS) has been transferred and posted as Managing Director, Handloom Development Corporation in place of Nirmal Sharma (IAS) who was posted as Labour Commissioner.
Mohammad Sharif Sood (IAS) has been transferred and posted as Joint Financial Commissioner, Agrarian Reforms.
Saurabh Bhagat (IAS), awaiting orders of adjustment in the General Administration Department, has been transferred and posted as Transport Commissioner.
Dilshad Khan (IAS) has been transferred and posted as Special Secretary to the Government, Industries and Commerce Department. (PTI)
