RAMBAN, Oct 26: Eight persons were injured in accident at Kela Morh on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway here today.
As per official sources, a truck bearing registration number JK03E-4558 coming from Srinagar to Jammu when reached at Kela Morh on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway turned turtle and collided with a three-wheeler auto bearing registration number JK19-6964 coming from the opposite direction, resulting into injuries to eight persons.
After getting information, a police team rushed to the spot and started rescue operation.
All the eight injured persons were shifted to District Hospital Ramban, from where three seriously injured persons were referred to GMCH Jammu and GMC Anantnag.
The injured were identified as Suraj Singh (4), son of Choor Singh of Kela Morh District Ramban, Mudassir, son of Gulzar Ahmed Wani of Seri District Ramban, Naseer Ahmed, son of Abdul Saleem of Seri District Ramban, Tariq Ahmed, son of Abdul Gani Shah of Seri District Ramban, Mangal Singh, son of Hari Chand, Sonam Devi, daughter of Suraj Singh, a resident of Gam, Fayaz Ahmed, son of Mohd Ibrahim and Imran, son of Mohd Jabbar, both residents of Awantipura, Kashmir.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Police Station Ramban and investigation started.
