KATHUA, Mar 19: Eight persons were injured in an truck-matador accident , near Bagyal in Kathua district this afternoon.
According to the police, a matador bearing number JK08-4522 was on its way to Buddhi to Kathua, when a speedy truck bearing number JK08AE-1807 which was on its way to Pathankot from Jammu hit the matador from behind resulting injuries to eight passangers.
On getting information of the accident, police party from Kathua rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to District Hospital, Kathua. The injured are responding well when the last reports came in.
Both drivers of matador and truck fled from the spot after the accident leaving behind the injured.
Meanwhile, Kathua police registered the case under relevant sections of the law and started investigation.
