8 injured in road mishaps

SRINAGAR, Aug 2: Eight persons were injured in different road accidents across the Kashmir valley.
A police spokesman said a Tavera, bearing registration number JK03/7100, rolled down near Jaibal Ganishpora in Anantnag district, resulting in injuries to four persons, including driver Asif Ahmad Bhat son of Abdul Aziz of Batkoot Pahalgam, Manzoor Ahmad Ahanger son of Gul Mohammad of Mazera Pahalgam, Mohammad Ashraf Khan son of Mohammad Yousuf of Ganishpora and Mohammad Ishaq Dar son of Abdul Gani of Zirpora Bijbehara. All the injured have been shifted to District Hospital Anantnag for treatment, the spokesman said.
A pedestrian woman was injured when she was hit by a Tavera, bearing registration number JK18/4182 at Wangum in Anantnag district. Police identified her as Reshma wife of Bheem Khan of Sonabraj of Anantnag. She was shifted to a hospital for treatment.
An auto driver was injured when a Bus, bearing registration number JK01B/1263, driven by Manzoor Ahmad Tantary son of Abdul Rehman of Kanlibagh on way from Uri to Baramulla hit an Auto, bearing registration number JK05C/0638, driven by Rameez Ahmad Gojri son of Abdul Rehman of Jalal Sahib, Baramulla, at Lagama Uri, resulting in injuries to the auto driver. He was shifted to Sub District Hospital Uri for treatment.
In another accident, a Maruti car bearing registration number JK05B/2645 driven by Abdul Kabir son of Noordin of Bijhama Uri skidded off the road at Bandi, Baramulla, resulting in injuries to driver. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment.
An Auto Load Carrier, bearing registration number JK01N/6092 hit and injured a vendor Kanwal son of Omkar Dhobi of Sajni U.P currently residing at Shaltaing, Srinagar, at Fruit Mandi, Srinagar. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment, the police spokesman said.
