RAMBAN, Oct 28: Eight persons were injured in collision between a tempo traveller and a truck near Ramsoo on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway here.
As per official sources, a tempo traveller bearing registration number JK12-4075 on its way to Banihal from Ramban collided with a truck bearing registration number JK22B-8973 near Ramsoo resulting into injuries to eight persons.
On getting information, a team from Police Station Ramsoo rushed to the spot and started rescue operation.
All the injured persons were rushed to Sub District Hospiptal (SDH) Banihal, where they were responding to the treatment, when last reports came in.
The injured were identified as Shakeel Ahmed, son of Abdul Rehman of Maligam Pogal, Mudasir Ahmed, son of Mohammad Ashraf Shohil of Neel, Nazir Ahmed, son of Abdul Qayoom of Chambalwass, Rayees Ahmed, son of Mohammad Iqbal of Maligam Pogal, Farooq Ahmed, son of Mohammad Iqbal of Chambalwass, Waseem Ahmed, son of Bashir Ahmed of Pogal, Naseer Ahmed, son of Mohammad Abdullah Sheikh of Chareel Banihal, Rayees Ahmed, son of Mohammad Iqbal of Maligam Pogal and Zubir Ahmed, son of Mohammad Shafi of Runigam Ramsoo.
A case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Ramsoo and investigation started.
