8 injured in road mishaps

RAJOURI, Oct 29: At least eight persons were injured in three separate road mishaps in district Rajouri today.
A police spokesman said that six persons were injured when two mini-buses ( JK02L/ 5417 and JK02AM/ 6985) collided with each other near Bal Shama in Sunderbani area today. Both the vehicles were moving in the opposite directions when the mishap occurred.
All the injured were rushed to Sunderbani hospital. They were identified as Kajal Sharma from Bakhar, Soni Ghai from Siot, Samriti Sharma from Bakhar, Meenakshi from Siot, Shallu Sharma from Siot and Vicky from Lamberi.
Two persons were injured when their bike was hit by an unknown vehicle near Thandapani in Sunderbani. The victims, Mohd Yaqoob and Liaqat Ali, residents of Channi Prat were shifted to hospital. The police has taken cognizance. A bike rider Manyas Ali, son of Liaqat Hussain hailing from Dali Kaka village was hit by a Tamp Traveler No. JK04C/4868 at around 9 am today near Sunderbani. He was shifted to hospital by police. The vehicle has been seized.
