POONCH, Apr 22: Eight sheep were died while many others injured due to lightning at Rajpura area of Tehsil Mandi in Poonch district today.
An information received here said that during rain and thunder storm, lightning from the sky hit a tree in Rajpura area (Ward No. 4) of tehsil Mandi at about 5:45 pm in the evening, where sheep and other cattle were grazing. Eight sheep were killed on the spot while many other were injured.
Owner of the cattle, Mohd Qasim, son of Mohd Zia, has appealed the district administration to provide financial assistance.
