8200 Budha Amarnath pilgrims reach Poonch

POONCH, July 30:  While the accommodation has become big headache for the local administration with the increasing rush of pilgrims in Poonch, a fresh batch of over 8200 Shri Budha Amarnathji pilgrims reached here in the city this evening.
The pilgrims in over 120 buses and other light vehicles, reached Poonch town from Jammu  this evening. Huge rush was witnessed in the city this evening and the Yatra Committee  had to face tough time in accommodating yatris in the additional accommodation arranged on the spot. Many pilgrims are being accommodated in the houses of the people on the appeal issued by religious heads of various communities.
Many vehicles said to have come directly from Jammu to Mandi and returned after performing darshan of Budha Amarnath shrine today.
Charri Pujan will be performed tomorrow morning by 1008 Swami Vishavatmanand Saraswatiji Maharaj at Akhara Mandir. Several officers from District Administration may join ‘Pooja’. Some political leaders have also arrived from Jammu to participate in Charri Pujan. Holy mace will leave for Mandi where shrine of Shri Budha Amarnathji is located.
Most of the pilgrims who arrived today from Jammu base camp, hail from Punjab, Haryana, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Rajasthan,  Himachal and Delhi besides various districts of own State. They started from Jammu base camp in the morning. The batch of yatris was accorded warm reception at Sunderbani, Rajouri  and  Bhimber Gali  enroute Poonch.
The pilgrims were received at Poonch by the Yatra Reception Committee members and SSP and ADC  Poonch.  Office bearers of VHP, SD Sabha and Bajrang Dal, Akhara Mandir management committee and other prominent citizens were also present.
Additional accommodation has been arranged by the local administration  at Degree College, all the Government schools, Geeta Bhawan, ITI building and some local Sabhas. All the Government buildings are full today. The pilgrims will leave for Shri Budha Amarnath shrine at Mandi town in the morning.
