86th birth anniversary of Swami Kashi Bub celebrated with fervour, gaiety

JAMMU, Aug 27: The 86th birth anniversary of Swami Kashi Bub Mahraj was celebrated with religious fervour gaiety and fervour by Kashi Bub Trust Hugam.
On the occasion a Maha Yagya was solemnised in which a large number of devotees participated.
Swami Kashi Bub, had initiated this hawan in village Hugam Anantnag, Kashmir since decades. The Trust performed Swami Ji’s 86th birth anniversary Pooja followed by the beginning of the hawan led by Pandit Makhan Lal and Yajmaan Bhola Nath Dhar.
Devotees gathered on Monday evening to join bhajan mandli led by Anil Bharti which continued till midnight. Purn Ahuti was performed on Tuesday at noon. SKBJMTH Working Committee head Behari Lal Dhar held a special session after Purna Ahuti. The special session included Prachaar of Swami Kashi Bub Ji, honouring of meritorious students and address by prominent personalities. Meritorious students belonging from Hugam who were given Award included Bhumik Dhar, Aditya Dhar and Prajualit Tickoo on securing more than 96 percent of marks in their respective classes.
Among prominent personalities were Relief & Rehabilitation Commissioner (M), Dr. Arvind Karwani chief guest, Ashok Kangan and Prof A N Sadhu. Dr. Arvind Karwani complimented the Trust for organising such an event where the community is bright together and younger generations are encouraged and exposed to our culture and traditions. He assured his support to the Trust in the future endeavors. Popular devotional poet B.N.Pandita ‘Abhilash’ also joined the occasion and recited a few of his Kashmiri hymns. The Trust’s Working Committee head B L Dhar shared the activity report and updated the devotees about the developments. The special session was followed by serving of Prashad to the devotees.
The similar Hawan on 86 birth anniversary was also organised at Kashmiri Hindu Sabha Pune by Ravinder Pandita, Sunil Tickoo of Hugam.
