JAMMU/SRINAGAR/ LEH, Oct 21: Jammu and Kashmir today reported 87 new COVID positive cases while Ladakh registered three new positives.
Of 87 cases, 74 were registered in Kashmir and 13 in Jammu.
Six cases were recorded in Jammu district, two each in Doda, Kathua and Reasi and one in Kishtwar in the Jammu region. Rest of the districts didn’t report any fresh cases.
Ten persons have recovered from the virus leaving number of active positive cases to 130 in the region.
All three new COVID positive cases in the UT of Ladakh were reported from Leh district.
Ladakh now has 34 cases, all in Leh district.
Meanwhile, Kashmir today reported 74 fresh cases of COVID-19.
Those who tested positive include 43 from Srinagar, 6 from Baramulla, 10 from Budgam, 1 from Pulwama, 3 from Kupwara, 2 from Anantnag, 3 from Bandipora, 4 from Ganderbal and 2 from Kulgam.
The number of cases in Kashmir division has reached 207,158 including 204,220 recoveries and 2,254 deaths.
The number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 814 including 684 from Kashmir division and 130 from Jammu division.
With 73 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 326,143 which is 98.42 percent of the total cases.
