RAJOURI, Apr 17: Police in Rajouri rescued 9 animals from the clutches of smugglers while foiling bovine smuggling bids in Rajouri area.
Police said that a team of Rajouri police headed by SHO Fareed Choudhary under the supervision of DySP HQ Rajouri Vinod Sharma during naka checking intercepted one Tata Mobile and one Tata Magic loaded with nine bovine animals which were on way from Rajouri towards Buffliaz.
Taking action in the matters, two cases under FIRs 161/2022, 162/2022, U/S 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act have been registered.
The vehicles that seized are with registration numbers JK11B 9204 and JK11E0551.
