9 bovines rescued, one arrested

JAMMU, Sept 20: Pounichak police rescued nine bovine animals and arrested a person.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from Pounichak police post laid a naka and intercepted a Mahindra vehicle bearing registration number JKO2BM-1620.
During checking, police rescued nine bovine animals and arrested one person, who has been identified as Zakir Hussain, son of Sher Ali, a resident of Barnai. The driver managed to escape from the spot.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Domana police station and manhunt has been launched to nab the accused driver.
Police team led by Incharge Pounichak police post SI Sumit Magotra made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Domana Inspector Rajeshwar Slathia, SDPO Domana Surinder Sharma and SP Rural Arun Gupta.
