RAJOURI, June 7: The police seized rescued nine (9) bovine animals from the clutches of smugglers in district Rajouri today.
Official sources said that at around 1630 hrs today the police party from Chingus during Naka checking at Agrati intercepted six bovine animals from unknown bovine smugglers on its way Agrati toward Rajouri on-foot without any permission but bovine smugglers fled away from the spot. The police registered a case in this connection.
Meanwhile, Sunderbani police intercepted one person today at around 3 pm in Marchola area who was carrying three bovines animals on foot from Marchola, Sunderbani to Rajouri side. Police lodged FIR against him bearing FIR No. 38/2022 u/s 188 IPC at PS Sunderbani. The smuggler managed to give slip to police and escaped.
