9 cases settled in Lok Adalat

KATHUA, Mar 28: A Lok Adalat was held here in the premises of District Court complex under the Chairmanship of Sanjeev Gupta, Chairman, District Legal Services Authority (Principal District and Sessions Judge).
In order to settle the cases in the Lok Adalat, two benches were constituted. The first bench comprised of Sanjeev Gupta, Principal District and Sessions Judge Kathua and Sikander Azam Choudhary, Additional District and Sessions Judge Kathua, whereas second bench comprised of Kusum Pandita, Chief Judicial Magistrate Kathua and Amit Sharma Special Mobile Magistrate Kathua.
A total of 9 cases–1 HM Act, 3 bank recovery suit, 2 civil suit, 1 criminal revision and 2 criminal compoundable cases were settled and disposed off. Settlement amount of Rs 4,65,000 in recovery cases was also passed in favour of the petitioner.
