The accused teachers, however, allegedly acquired BPEd (Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education) certificates from Global Open University Nagaland through an agent without physically attending any classes, said the spokesperson.

The investigation conducted by the Crime Branch involved recording statements of the complainants and obtaining records from the relevant department.
During the course of probe, fake BPEd certificates were seized as evidence, pointing to the deceptive practice used by the accused to upgrade their pay grades.
