Srinagar, May 4: Police today arrested 9 persons and seized seven vehicles for illegal extraction and transportation of miner mineral in Baramulla.
Sources said, police parties from Police Station Baramulla, Police Post Mirgund and Police Post Kungamdara arrested 09 persons and seized 03 tractors, 3 tippers and a JCB machine involved in illegal extraction and transportation of raw materials at Baramulla, Chandsuma, Singhpora Pattan and Kungamdara Chowk.
“They have been shifted to a police station where they remain in custody,” police said.
Accordingly, cases under relevant sections of the law have been registered in concerned police stations and investigations have been taken up.
