9 Para Army divers start search to fish out bodies

KATHUA, July 13: The divers of 9 Para Army Udhampur took command in search operation going on at Ranjit Sagar Dam Basholi to fish out the dead bodies of two youth who were drowned in the dam yesterday and day before yesterday.
One of youth has committed suicide while jumping in the dam from Atal Setu bridge identified as Sandeep Sangra. But the another youth identified as Summit Kumar drowned in deep water while taking bath with his friend Nikhil both resident of Basholi. The SDRF team fished out the body of Nikhil from dam yesterday. But the bodies of two youth still have not been traced.

On the request of administration, a team of  9 Para Army divers reaches at Basholi and started search operation. The divers took number of dives in the dam from Atal Setu to Purthu site but did not succeed in searching the bodies due to strong current of water and foggy atmosphere. They put all the efforts to find out but did not get any result so far.
Meanwhile, the team of SDRF also continued the search operation to fish out the bodies parallel to Army Para divers on second day. They took numbers of dives in dam at the site where the youth had drowned. But also did not get any result so far. The ailing family members along with number of citizens were present looking eagerly. They went back sadly to their homes with the hope to get any result next morning.
The ADC Basholi, Sanjay Gupta , SDPO Basholi Sunil Singh, SHO Basholi PS, Anil Sharma   monitored the operation under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner, Kathua  Rohit Khajuria. They extended full support to Army divers and SDRF team to make operation successful.
The operation will continue tomorrow morning with the hopes to get result.
