UDHAMPUR, Apr 4: A couple along with their two sons among nine passengers were injured when a Toyota Innova Taxi skidded off the road and overturned into roadside drain at Bikhan Gla near Tikri, here today.
According to the reports, the Toyota Innova, bearing registration number JK01T-4276 was coming from Jammu side towards Udhampur when it met with the accident at Bikhan Gala near Tikri.
SHO Rehambal Nishad Ahmed along with Police team rushed to the spot and took the injured persons to Primary Health Centre (PHC) Tikri, where doctors referred them to District Hospital Udhampur.
The injured persons were identified as Nazir Ahmed, son of Abdul Ahmed of Pulwama, his wife Balqiees Jann, their sons Mohd Azam and Harnoor Nazir, Manoranjan Mandal, son of Tarnee Mandal of West Bengal, Shahid Ahmed Butt son of Mohd Anwar of Anantnag, Ashiq Ali son of Ali Mohd of Bemina Srinagar, Astit Kumar son of Shalinder Kumar of Uttar Pradesh (UP) and Govind Yadav son of Harpal of Bareily (UP). Their condition was stated to be stable.
