9 passengers injured as Tavera rolls down

DODA, May 18: Atleast nine passengers were injured, when the Tavera vehicle they were travelling in, skidded off the road and rolled down into gorge near Gadsoo area, falling under the jurisdiction of Doda Police Station.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK06-7127 was on its way from Thathri to Doda, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it plunged into 200 meters deep gorge near Gadsoo, resulting into injuries to 9 persons.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and started operation to rescue the injured persons.
All the injured persons were shifted to District Hospital Doda, where they were responding to the treatment, when last reports came in.
The injured have been identified as Garinder Singh (45), son of Talib Singh and Mohinder Kumar (21), son of Nehal Singh, both residents of District Udhampur, Namita Jatwal (24), wife of Ajay Kumar, Narges (3), daughter of Ajay Kumar, Aria (3 months), daughter of Ajay Kumar and Ajay Kumar (25), son of Shanti Lal, all residents of District Jammu, Nitin (14), son of Suresh Kumar and Lovely Kumar (32), son of Hari Chand, both residents of District Baramulla and Dheeraj (18), son of Nehar Singh, a resident of Aligarh.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Doda Police Station and investigation started.
