9 Vaishno Devi pilgrims injured

KATRA, June 21: Nine Vaishno Devi pilgrims from Haryana were injured, three of them seriously when a Tempo, they were travelling in, collided with a Truck near Balni area on Katra, Reasi Road, here last night.
The accident took place when the Tempo (HR55AR- 5332) collided head on with the Truck (JK20C- 6735) coming from the opposite direction, resulting into injuries to the pilgrims.
The injured pilgrims were shifted to Community Health Centre (CHC) Katra where three of them were referred to Government Medical College Hospital, Jammu for advanced treatment.
Those shifted to GMC Hospital, Jammu were identified as Pardeep Kumar Sharma (46 years old), Seema (37 years old), and Nisha Sharma (34 years old). Their condition was stated to be stable while those admitted at CHC Katra, were discharged after the first aid.
