JAMMU, Nov 6: Domana, Arnia, Akhnoor, Nagrota and Chinore Police seized 9 vehicles involved in illegal mining.
As per official sources, teams from Police Station Domana led by SHO Inspector Tilak Raj, Police Station Arnia led by SHO Inspector Deepak Katoch, Police Station Akhnoor led by SHO Inspector Harjeet Singh, Police Station Nagrota led by SHO Inspector Vishav Pratap Singh and Police Post Chinore led by PSI Rajesh Kumar raided different locations in their respective areas and seized 9 vehicles involved in illegal mining.
DMO Jammu was also intimated about the same.
The mining was being done in violation of order of High Court of J&K.
In order to strictly implement the drive against illegal mining and to tighten noose against the violators of the law, Jammu Police has initiated strict action.
