RAJOURI, Dec 20: Acting tough against illegal mining, team of Geology & Mining Department under the supervision of District Mineral Officer Rajouri Naseeb Bajran, seized nine vehicles involved in illegal mining in Manawar Tawi Rajouri district.
The vehicles have been booked under Mining Act. DMO Rajouri told that action against illegal mining shall be intensified with the assistance of police and anyone involved in illegal mining shall be booked under relevant sections of the law. All the vehicles have been handed over to the Rajouri Police till they pay the penalty imposed on them, he added.
