JAMMU, Nov 7: At least nine vehicles were seized for mining illegally in Jammu District today, police said.
They said seven vehicles, including five dumpers, one tractor trolley and one tipper, were seized by a team of Police Station Jhajjar Kotli led by SHO Jhajjar Kotli, Inspector Azad Manhas, one tipper was seized by a team of Police Station Nagrota led by SHO Nagrota, Inspector Vishav Partap Singh, and one tractor trolley by a team of Police Station Arnia led by SHO Arnia, Inspector Deepak Katoch, in their respective jurisdictions.
“The seized vehicles were mining in violation of a High Court order,” said police, adding that the DMO Jammu has been informed about the seizures made.
