9 vehicles seized for mining illegally

JAMMU, Apr 11: At least nine vehicles were seized for mining illegally in Jammu District on Tuesday, police said.
They said one tractor trolley was seized by Police Post Chattha, three tractor trolleys by Police Post Phallain Mandal, one by Police Post Sainik Colony and four tractor trolleys by Border Police Post Gajansoo.
The recoveries were made by incharge Police Post Chattha, PSI Harjinder Paul Singh, Incharge Police Post Phallain Mandal, PSI Ajesh Singh Jamwal, Incharge Police Post Sainik Colony, PSI Bhawani Singh and Incharge Border Police Post Gajansoo, ASI Ravinder Bhushan in their respective jurisdictions.
“The vehicles were mining in violation of a High Court order,” police said, adding that DMO Jammu has been intimated about the recoveries.
