RAJOURI, Aug 14: The Forest Department officials in a major operation today retrieved 96 kanal forest land in Nowshera area today.
A team led by Range Officer, Vinod Sharma, under the supervision of DFO Nowshera, Dr Arshdeep Singh and Conservator of Forests West Circle, Jammu Sameer Bharti conducted the operation in Compartment Nos. 117/D, 50/D, 104/D, 65/D, 38/D, 21/D, 27/D and 82/D falling in Layal, Deoli, Kalyar, Channi, Brevi and Keri area of Sunderbani range and cleared the 96 kanal of Forest land. The Forest Department initiated fencing of the encroached area and also booked the land grabbers.
