People protest, block road for 4 hrs

RAJOURI, Apr 16: The people from Mogla area, including students held protest demonstration on Rajouri-Taryath road and disrupted movement of traffic for about four hours today.
They were protesting against the non-availability of teachers in Govt Girls Middle School Mogla in tehsil Kalakote. The parents and the students besides other villagers put lock on the school and came out on the road at around 8 am and sat on dharna on the road. They alleged that there was not even a single teacher presently in the school and the children were suffering. The issue was also taken up with the concerned officers but they remained inactive.
The people raised barricades on the road and disrupted the movement of traffic on the road. They were raising slogans against Deputy Chief Minister, Tara Chand, Director School Education, P K Pole and CEO Rajouri. The police party from Kalakote area rushed there but they remained protesting there. Later, ZEO concerned Mohd Sadiq and and Naib Tehsildar R K Sambyal reached there and assured the agitating villagers that teachers would be posted in the school within a week. The people then lifted dharna around 12 noon.
