Airtel launches ‘Choose Your Number’ for pre paid customers in J&K

JAMMU, Apr 16: Bharti Airtel, a leading telecom service provider in India having operations in 20 countries across Asia and Africa today announced the launch of “Choose Your Number’’ (CYN) facility for pre-paid customers in J&K.
Announcing the launch of CYN at a press conference here today, Dharmender Khajuria Coo-J&K Bharti Airtel said that CYN service will enable the prepaid customers to select a number of his or her choice, with the retailers from whom he or she is buying the Airtel prepaid connection.
He said with the launch of CYN in J&K the prepaid customers in the state will be able to opt for a number of his/ her choice. It can be their lucky number, car registration number, date of birth or any other choice number, he added.
“Upholding our brand promise of enriching lives of our customers, the launch of CYN is just another step to bring innovation closer to them, said Mr Khajuria. We believe that this service will draw a lot of value for the customers who cherish and intend to retain a particular number owing to various reasons’’, he added.
He said obtaining a mobile number of one’s choice is very easy as a customer has to approach a retailer of Airtel and make a request for his or her preferred number combo upto a maximum of six digit sequence of his or her choice.
The retailer after checking the availability of the number if finds that the number is available confirms the process and the customer has to deposit requisite documents for activation.
Mr Khajuria said the company ranks amongst the top four mobile service providers globally in terms of subscribers. In India the Company’s product offerings include 2G, 3G, and 4 G wireless services, mobile commerce, fixed line services, high speed DSL broadband, IPTV, DTH, enterprise services including national and international long distance services to carriers.
He said in the rest of the geographies, it offers 2G, 3G wireless services and mobile commerce. Bharti Airtel had over 267 million customers across the operations at the end of February this year, he added.
