SRINAGAR, Apr 16: Prof S M Shafi from Department of Library and Information Science, University of Kashmir, has bagged prestigious Best Teacher Award -2012 at DRTC (ISI), Bangalore, for his contribution in the development of the department, profession and facilitating research on the campus.
A known researcher Prof Shafi is presently Chairman of the Department of Library and Information Science DLIS, KU and has more than 70 researcher papers in national and international journals to his credit.
He has participated in 20 national, 6 international conferences and is quite well-known in professional circles with more than 25 years of teaching and research experience.
