SRINAGAR, May 18: The KAS officers Adhoc body today unanimously decided that Kifayat Hussain Rizvi would be the Returning Officer for the KAS Officers Association elections being held in next two months.
It was decided in a meeting of members of the Adhoc Body that was held here yesterday.
The outgoing president, Farooq Renzu spelt out some major achievements of the Association during his tenure as President and endorsed the formation of the adhoc body, President of the Adhoc body, Showkat Mir thanked the officers for reposing trust in him and other members of the adhoc body and informed that it would be their endeavour to hold the elections within the next two months so that a formal and elected body is in place by the end of July.
The adhoc body would, meet the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Chief Secretary and the Secretary, GAD to apprise them about the various issues being faced by the KAS Cadre.
