JAMMU, Apr 16: A meeting of Welfare Committee of Anuradha Puram under the chairmanship of its president, Amar Nath Raina, was held here today, which expressed serious concern over the choking of drains in Sector 2 (Upper Barnai).
The meeting alleged that the Safai Karamcharis of the area do not perform their duty regularly, due to which the drains have turned into garbage dump, resulting into foul smell and over flow of water of the drains. It was requested to the concerned authorities to take stock of the sanitary conditions of the area and take appropriate action.
The meeting was attended by ML Sharma, KL Segal, Thakur Ratan Singh and many other inhabitants of the area.
