JAMMU, July 22: All J&K Housing Board Employees Association (JKHBEA) today projected demands of the employees of Housing Board.
Addressing a press conference here, Babu Hussain Malik, J&K president, Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) and Sham Singh Chib (president, JKHBEA), said that administration has failed to solve the long pending demands the Housing Board employees.
Sham Singh urged the Lt Governor GC Murmu, Chief Secretary J&K and Principal Secretary, Housing & Urban Development Department, to fill posts of Secretary and Managing Director in J&K Housing Board as these posts have been lying vacant from February 2020 and June 2020, respectively. He further said that the post should be filled as per Housing Board Act and the minimum term of the MD should be at least two years.
Babu Hussain Malik demanded the administration to defer the referral of vacancies and fill all vacant posts among the staff of JKHB immediately, implement agenda of Establish Committee immediately and stop pick and choose policy, release grade in favour of designated Incharge Junior Assistants, Supervisors, Draftsman, Khansamas, etc, fill vacant posts of Class IV as per recruitment rules of JKHB and create posts of Junior Assistants, Head Assistants, Computer Operators, Stenographers, Liaison Officer and Under Secretary.
He further demanded amendment in recruitment rules as desired by Financial Commissioner, H&UDD in the meeting dated 21-12-2018, establishment of New Housing Colonies in J&K Divisions, vacation of land occupied by the Army in Housing Colony Kadipora (Anantnag) and reimbursement claim of Rs 132.69 crore to J&K Housing Board upto 2018-19 and reimbursement of claim of Rs 101.48 crore from Kashmir University in Housing Colony Kadipora, Anantnag.
