Action Committee’s stir not against any religion, community: Pathania

JAMMU, July 22: Ranbir Singh Pathania, Chairman Action Committee Dudu-Basantgarh, today clarified that “Justice for Shiv Raj” is a public movement pivoted against an administrative inaction/scandal which has been going on unabatedly and unfazedly at Seoj Dhar since past two decades.
He requested people/politicians not to make off-the-record statements which are not in line with the ground level situation. He said that Action Committee is an all-religion, all-communities, all-party conglomerate of representatives of all political parties.
“Let everybody remain assured that it should not be painted as a case of religion versus religion or community versus community. It is simply a case where 4-5 families, with their accomplices, from Kathua and Punjab with criminal track-record have connived with local administration to extort ‘hafta’ from local shepherds – including local Hindus, Muslims as well as Gaddis and Gujjars, and all these exploited communities from Ramnagar, Chenani and adjoining areas are shoulder-to-shoulder running this movement peacefully and in a most decent way,” Pathania added.
He further said that Action Committee as well as people of area of Dudu Basantgarh shall not relent unless full redressal of their demands is done i.e. tracing out dead body of Shiv Raj at the earliest, permanently debarring the said rebellious tribes from entering Seoj Dhar henceforth, redressal of all un-redressed complaints of extortion, against the tribe and immediate action against guilty officers of police/civil administration.
“While on the other hand, almost 50 days have elapsed by since the mysterious missing of Shiv Raj in Seoj Dhar area of Ramnagar but the local police and civil administration have been helplessly crawling feet with least success as on ground,” he added.
