AMCCC urges Govt to settle demands

JAMMU, July 22: All Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AMCCC) in a meeting here, today has urged the Government to solve the other long pending demands of the community.
The meting demanded construction of bore wells for Jagti township, compensation for losses suffered by the community orchardists and agriculturists over the years, removal of encroachments from migrant land and religious places and framing of a concrete policy on rehabilitation of displaced Pandits from in Kashmir Valley in accordance with aspirations of the community members.
The meeting which was presided over by Desh Rattan Pandits president AMCCC said the Government has released the sugar quota for migrants which was withheld since August last year. He said the migrants will now get the sugar quota from Janaury this year and Government ahs issued orders in this regard after his organisation took the issue with Director Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs as well as other authorities constantly since August last year.
